GALAKTIKOS | Teatro istorijos & Kauno kamerinis teatras (LT)

The life of a teenager Carol is a delicate dance between a passion for the mysteries of the cosmos and the challenges associated with communication. Carol, who has autism spectrum disorder, perceives the world as a huge cacophony in which every sound, taste, touch and smell is enhanced, so the things that are common to us seem alien to him. The safest place for him is the room – a refuge that the guy turns into a spaceship, embarks on extraordinary journeys to distant planets, in search of his (neuro)tribe – a community that would truly understand him. Combining elements of paper and drama theater, the creative team of "Galaxy" takes viewers on an expedition through space, reflecting Charles' inner world.

One day, however, their lives are turned upside down by the Trio: she doesn't care about the alien order, and even more so doesn't seem obliged to follow it. With her otherness, she not only provokes Primordial and Dudule to reassess the order they have created, but also reveals that otherness in the world is valuable and interesting. After all, the most important thing is not the rules, but friendship based on mutual trust and respect. The play tells how, as if the third and its otherness that have fallen from the sky, can shake up the routine of life that had previously been in place. However, respect, care and responsibility not only for oneself, but also for another, helps to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of people or animals that foster the individuality of each.
