This year, the tenth annual contemporary circus festival "New Circus Weekend'15", has started way earlier than before. On the 1st of September, within a week until the beginning of the main program, the Arts Printing House began its educational program of contemporary circus. Variouscircus disciplines and theoretical workshops are presented  by 11 lecturers from different 9 countries.

After twenty performances at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the first time in Lithuania the Arts Printing House is proud to present pioneers of the contemporary circus in Palestine Ashtar Muallem and Fadi Zmorrod.

One of the most famous contemporary circus troupes “Seven Fingers” from Canada for the first time is coming to the Baltic states.
At the tenth contemporary circus festival New Circus Weekend’15 in Vilnius the pioneers of the circus is presenting the solo performance “Patinoire”.
The idea and performance of the performance is by Patrick Léonard.

Contemporary circus in Lithuania celebrates anniversary – 9-13 of September for the tenth time the Arts Printing House invites citizens and the guests of Vilnius to the festival “New Circus Weekend’15”. This year – the festival bigger and the weekend for the circus will last longer. The annual event for modern circus will present performances which demonstrates that circus can contain both states of being sombre and jolly, deep corners of unconsciousness and humour, capability to visualize, musical perceptiveness, enough of space and intimacy.


An Optimistic Morning of Lithuanian Contemporary Dance in Edinburgh

Lithuania's name will appear among the more than 3000 shows with performers from all over the world at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world's largest arts festival. This year our country will be represented by two contemporary dance shows which have received recognition not just in Lithuania but also internationally. Over the period running from 17 to 22 August, to be exact in the morning of those days, the public coming to the SpaceTriplex venue will woken up by the choreographer Birutė Banevičiūtė's Puzzle and the dance show Contemporary?, created at the Arts Printing House (Vilnius) and nominated as the Performing Arts Event of the Year. The creative teams of both shows will begin their performances at 9:15 am.

This September international contemporary circus festival “New Circus Weekend” is celebrating its first important anniversary – the festival in Lithuania is being held for the tenth time. This year New Circus Weekend has blossomed out picking worlds famous stars and including what has never happened in Vilnius before. 9-13 of September the festival broadens its boundaries over the Europe – beside the troupes from France, Denmark, Finland, the program will present participants from Canada and Palestine.
