On the 14th of February, just in time for the Valentine's Day, the arts printing house presents the most romantic performance in the repertoire - the first street dance performance in Lithuania "Feel-Link" created by Airida Gudaitė and Laurynas Žakevičius.
Airida Gudaitė and Laurynas Žakevičius represent a new generation of Lithuanian dancers and choreographers. The performance "Feel-Link" is exploring feelings and perceptions of a couple, based on love they felt and love they still seek to feel. The performers employ free urban dance style, using the whole range of body‘s motility and bringing the thematic content of "Feel-Link" closer to the values of younger generation of dancers.
The creative duo see through correlations and consonances between musical framework of the performance and the central idea behind it. The title – "Feel-Link" – is based on two words transformed to make the theme stand out: tangibility of feelings in a culture of free perceptions, values and choices.
The musical framework is the interpretation of "Feelings" by an American jazz pianist and singer Eunice Kathleen Waymon, also (and better) known as Nina Simone. The synthesis of the text, music and dance in "Feel-Link" provides insights into endless cycle of efforts to forget feelings or to bring them back.
